Run order

  1. Open the spiral-bound notebook and pick FIRES, HOUSE, or STORAGES.
  2. Read the yellow description and the needed cost line under each entry.
  3. Place the blueprint, then deliver sticks, logs, stone, or leafs as written.
  4. Cook and garden from Steam’s food loop — cook-menu names stay unknown.

THE DEAD WE KNEW: Open World Survival (Steam app 4890760, MAY19 STUDIO) uses a spiral-bound survival notebook for placeable builds. Category icons sit along the top of the notebook UI. Confirmed section titles on open pages: FIRES, HOUSE, STORAGES.

How to open craft / build pages

  1. Open the spiral-bound notebook UI in first person (shown in Steam stills and official gameplay trailer footage).
  2. Use the top icon row to change section. The tent/structure icon opens HOUSE; the pencil/book icon opens STORAGES; the fire icon opens FIRES.
  3. Read each entry’s yellow-highlighted description and the “needed” cost line under it.
  4. Use BACK / NEXT on the notebook page to move between entries in that section.
  5. Place the blueprint in the world, then deliver the listed materials (Steam stills show carrying logs into a wireframe structure).

Exact cook-menu item names and ingredient counts are not confirmed in-game yet (held under Unknowns below) — they are not on the notebook pages sourced for this pack. Shelter placement loop continues on /guides/base. Fog and rain change when you should stop crafting outdoors — see /guides/fog-weather.

HUD spelling is preserved as written: TINT, leafs, DOOR WALL vs WALL DOOR, and singular stick / stone where the notebook uses them.
